Being a Dad

Is incredibly awesome! What other opportunities do we ever get a chance to be like God? First, we come together in love with our spouse and create life. That's something even angels cannot achieve. Secondly, like the Father, we have the ability to see the future in most circumstances. We know that our child will get over whatever is making them upset at the moment, such as teething, being told "no", or when one of the parents needs to leave for work or an errand, because we were kids once. And we got over our hurts. We are able to act like the Holy Spirit by providing them comfort.
Third, we provide for them. We give them food, shelter, clothing, and love. Fourth, we are able to love someone else unconditionally. They feel the same way about us! 
Last, like the Son, we are willing to die for the life we created. This is probably the closest we will ever get to becoming like Jesus in this life. Dads and moms, enjoy every moment of this!
